CNN tries to get it right, but once again emphasizes the Muslim ties to the Temple Mount and ignore Judaism’s.
JERUSALEM (CNN) — An Israeli-Arab legislator Friday helped negotiate an end to a standoff between Palestinians and police at a disputed Jerusalem holy site.
The Palestinian protesters were upset with an Israeli construction project near Al Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest shrine, in Jerusalem’s Old City.
The area known as the Temple Mount to Jews and the Noble Sanctuary or Haram Al-Sharif to Muslims is sacred to both groups.
No mention that the Temple Mount is the holiest site in all of Judaism. Just a little moral equivalency in the third parargraph: “sacred to both groups.”
This is why the world hates Israel. Because the world media refuses to do what it claims is its job: Telling both sides of the story in an unbiased fashion. I’m seeing a decided tilt towards the Muslim view of the Temple Mount.
Haram Al-Sharif is often mentioned as a follow on to Noble Sanctuary. Has anybody ever read/seen/heard what the Temple Mount might be called by the indigenous Jews? No, Hebrew doesn’t exist. They only speak English. They are colonists, they don’t belong, and those damn Jews shouldn’t be defiling the Haram Al-Sharif, which, after all, is the third holiest site in Islam–and consequently, the third holiest site in the world! We must be culturally sensitive. Remember, Arabs and Muslims are good, slightly brown, and victims. Israeli Jews are Westerners, bankers, movie makers, and English speakers–just like evil and oppressive Los Angeles. The media lies.
The BBC news last night continued their educational jihad, because if by any chance you thought the Al Aqsa was the fourth holiest shrine in Islam, they made sure you would never make that mistake again. I think it was three times they mentioned that it was the third holiest shrine in Islam. Judaism was not even mentioned. Are Jews are being written out of the history of the Middle East?
The world media likes to slam and denigrate jews, but the Jews will win in the end. :)
