I may have time to catch up on blogging next week, if they don’t bring me back. I couldn’t say.
In any case, I can’t thank Scott enough for what he has done. He made a Blogad for me, too.
It’s a tough time for me right now, and it’s great to know that so many of you are pulling for me.
One resume is winging its way to another Large Company in Richmond as we speak. It’s working.
Thank you, everyone.
Well, Meryl, I think I can be of some help.
I do some criminal appellate work and I have a few grateful clients out there. Fifty bucks and a plane ticket and anyone who won’t hire you…we can arrange a tragic accident.
Or at the interview when they inevitably ask if there’s anything else you want to say, just murmur quietly but meaningfully, “I have a friend in…Detroit and he’s particularly interested in my being hired here.”
Um, don’t you think they will add insult to injury by having you back next week to TRAIN your replacement????
I can’t be of any help, unless you’re looking to move across the pond (and I’d think you were mad if you were!) but best wishes.
Nope. They don’t want me to train my replacement. They want me to do the work until she arrives. Which is fine by me–I need the money.
I’ve been extended through the end of November. I have a month to find a new job.
