Watermark is holding this week’s Carnival of the Cats, featuring, after a long absence, Tig and Gracie.
And I also have a picture that was more than three years in the making. Yes, three years. I got my digital camera for my birthday in November of 2002. For three years, Gracie has come down the stairs, occasionally pausing to peer at me through the rails, or rub her head against the rails, or otherwise preen or sit looking gorgeous after one of her many beauty rests.
For three years, I have failed to get a picture of this. Every single time she has come down, my camera has been elsewhere, or if I have it near to hand, she moves before I can get the shot. This weekend, however–this very Thursday night–Gracie came downstairs and posed for the camera. This is only the first of my Gracie-at-the-rails shots.
Happy Catmas, everyone. Or is that Merry Catmukkah?
Gracie is so beautiful. Do you think the Maccabees would be upset with me if I were to indulge in just a tiny bit of kittyworship?
I never did get a movie of Edloe climbing up in the chair, turning around, and flopping back to sit up like a teddy bear.
