Why Russia won’t sanction Syria

There’s a new Russian/Syrian deal worth $2.7 billion: Russia is going to build a refinery for Syria.

Syria has signed a US$2.7 billion memorandum of understanding with a Russian company for construction of a refinery and petrochemical plant in northeast Syria, the official Syrian news agency reported Tuesday.

Do not hold your breath waiting for Russia to vote for sanctions against Syria for any reason.

And they call us the imperialist capitalist pigs.

And once that project is complete, look for Syria to start negotiations for a “peaceful” nuclear reactor, just like Iran…
