More holiday vandalism

Looks like some Canadian Jew-haters were busy this Christmas:

Edmonton’s police hate crimes unit is investigating an act of vandalism at a synagogue where swastikas and lettering were painted on its walls on Christmas Day.

Vandals had painted a metre-wide black swastika, along with the acronym ZOG, with a circle and line through it on Beth Shalom synagogue.

ZOG stands for Zionist Occupation Government, a fictional body cited in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, which claims Jews control global seats of power.

Const. Dave Huggins said the symbol was not commonplace, leading police to suspect the vandalism was a definite show of anti-Semitism and not a childish prank.

Gee, ya think?

By the way, this isn’t the first time Beth Shalom was attacked.

The Beth Shalom synagogue is no stranger to acts of vandalism motivated by hate.

In the fall of 2000, the synagogue was firebombed with Molotov cocktails twice in three weeks.

Both Beth Shalom, at 11916 Jasper Ave., and the Beth Israel Synagogue in the west end were set ablaze by firebombs on Halloween night that year.

Yousef Sandouga, originally from Jordan, was charged in the Halloween night attack on Beth Shalom after he left his cellphone at the scene and was forced to go to hospital when he burned himself during the attack.

Unfortunately, the bastards that hit Beth Shalom this time weren’t as stupid.

Guess they couldn’t find a menorah to vandalize.

One Response to More holiday vandalism

  1. Earl Goudie says:

Notorious Holocaust denier James Keegstra was a teacher for many years in the province of Alberta. It looks like some of his deciples have come out from under their rocks.

Most of us Canucks find such ideas and actions disgusting.
