The Palestinian Authority hasn’t been paying its gas bills.
So…
Dor Energy, the Israeli company that provides fuel to the Palestinian areas, is cutting off supplies due to growing debts, Palestinian officials said Wednesday, warning the move would deepen a humanitarian crisis brewing in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The head of the Palestinian petrol commission, Mujahid Salame, said he expected gasoline supplies to run out on Thursday. “If this happens, there will be a humanitarian crisis,” he said.
He said Palestinian officials were in touch with American and European diplomats in hopes of pressuring Israel to reverse the move by Dor Energy.
They could always pay their bills with the hundreds of millions pledged by Arab League states, Islamist states, and Norway. Or they could ask that the withheld tax revenue be used to pay the bills…
(Nah. That would be too easy. Blame the West, blame the Jews.)
Maybe the Palestinians can use this as an opportunity to demonstrate the robustness of their ancient culture and academic excellence by working hard to develop and mass-produce alternative, non-polluting energy sources?
(Okay, now you’re just being silly.)

So, after 58 years, the Philistines (who practice child-sacrifice now as in the past) can pay their bills with earnings from exports of agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, apparel, cut gemstones, semiconductors, software, engineering products, chemicals, etc. No? Could this be because the UN, the US and others in the world have basically written welfare checks to the Philistines since 1948 so that they haven’t learned any skills other than wiping their backsides, firing guns, and asking children to blow themselves up?

Why does Isreal supply those bastards with anything? I would not supply them with even a broken typewriter. They are at war with them, this makes absolutely no sense.
It’s a great post, Meryl. I just hope that Palestine’s friends in the region don’t turn of the supply of gas to Israel in retaliation.
