These words became an integral part of who we are. They were shouted by an unnamed commando 30 years ago in the terminal of Entebbe.
And this man is forever to remain an integral part of who we are.
And what happened to the terrorists is a lesson to all the wannabe martyrs.

Israeli.
Your “this man” link gives me “access denied”!
Thanks for your attention, Cynic, I have fiddled with it a bit. It should be OK now, although the picture is not of the best quality. But it is the only one I like.
Truly one of those amazing unilateral acts that the UN so deplores.
God bless Israel, they’re the light that leads the rest of the world.
I remember well the day of the Entebbe raid. There had been so much anxiety over the fate of the captives for so long, with the obscene separation of the Jews from the other passengers who were freed, the noble attempt by the French plane Captain to stay with the Jews, and the threat of killing them, and by Germans allied with Arafat’s PLO at that. I turned on the radio on July 4, 1976 and the first news I heard was that Zahal had raided and freed almost all the passengers. It was the best Fourth of July I ever had.
The Entebbe raid was one of the most daring and spectacular small unit actions in all of military history. Two millenia from now Jews will remember the heroism of Johanan Netanyahu, and Idi Amin and Yasir Arafat will be remembered, if at all, only as two of the Hamans of the 20th Century.
Its still access denied, Snoopy. Oh well.
My apologies. I cannot understand what happened with this specific image. Changed again.
