palestinian civil war watch

Ongoing.

Despite the ceasefire agreement that was reached between Hamas and Fatah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ call to end the fierce fighting, Palestinian sources reported Monday of continued gun battles between rival factions since the morning hours.

In the afternoon exchanges of fire took place near Foreign Minister Mahmoud al-Zahar’s Gaza office. During one incident gunmen, apparently from Hamas, kidnapped two Palestinian security officers in response to the abduction of Hamas members by Fatah gunmen Sunday night.

A few hours earlier schoolchildren in Gaza clashed with the Palestinian government’s special security force; six students were injured. In another incident three people were injured during exchanges of fire that took place near the Palestinian security headquarters.

Unbelievable. “Schoolchildren” are fighting this war?

What a sick, sick society.

  1. Sabba Hillel says:

You forget the Pali definition of “students” Many of them would be called terrorists or would have already joined the army in any sane society.

They are probably the ages of some of the US Army troops now in Iraq.

I forgot to mention that notice how they are carefully unidentified unlike the usual practice of the Pali dhimmi media.

  3. Chris L. says:

On the other hand, the article does say “schoolchildren.” Isn’t the median age in Gaza supposed to 16 years? Look to see more violence involving “youths.”

  4. Alex Bensky says:

Well, in a sense this should be comforting. The Palis aren’t willing to throw away their children’s lives just to murder Jews. They’re willing to do it to murder each other, although I’m sure killing Jews does add a certain piquancy.

Remind me again why these people deserve a state more than the Kurds do? Or Jews, for that matter.
