Super-oops

Wow, the people of south Richmond almost rose up en masse and headed for Comcast HQ with tar and feathers.

The cable went out. Internet and TV. About an hour ago.

Lucky for Comcast, it was fixed in about 20 minutes.

Mind you, I’m not watching the game. I stopped caring about sports ages ago. There’s not even a “sports” category on my blog.

I’ve come a long way from the girl who could recite the 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, and 1980 Yankees lineups.

One Response to Super-oops

  1. I’m waiting for the collective scream when Comcast turns off analog service.

According to my parents (who upgraded to digital service this past week), the installer told them that sometime next month will be the end of Comcast’s analog cable service. More precisely, the only analog channels left will be the local-broadcast channels.

So far, there doesn’t appear to have been any public announcement of this. Anyone who has not upgraded to digital service at the time of the shutdown will suddenly find themselves with very little to watch, and an overwhelming desire to commit acts of violence against Comcast corporation.
