It almost makes you like Ruth Gordon in Rosemary’s Baby. Mia Farrow joined the Legion of Morons by denouncing Israel for the Gaza blockade while whitewashing the reason for it. The direct quote about firing rockets into civilian areas (which, by the way, devastated especially Sderot’s children, but Israeli children aren’t on the UN goodwill ambassador’s list of needy children.
In criticizing militant rockets, Farrow advised Gazans not to “give the international community ammunition to view you in a negative way.” Stopping them, she said, could lead to greater international aid.
Got it? Don’t stop firing rockets at Sderot’s schoolchildren because it’s immoral, illegal, and outright wrong. Stop firing rockets so that you can get more money.
Way to be a goodwill ambassador.

Well, of course. Shooting missiles at Jews…I’m sure she doesn’t approve but like a lot of people, she understands. But it makes them look bad to do it. Maybe they can claim the gremlins are sneaking into Gaza and launching rockets.
And, I notice, having an unusually corrupt and venal government, even for the Arab Middle East, she does not cite as something that might give the international community a reason to view them negatively. Swearing extermination for Israel and Jews everywhere apparently also isn’t a public relations problem for them, as far as Ms. Farrow sees it. But giving Israelis a chance to shoot back…well, she’s a decent actress, I guess.
Just once I’d like to hear one of these experts acknowledge that Egypt controls the entire southern border of the Gaza Strip, and could allow anything at all to pass into the area.
She’s just talking in a language they’ll understand. Morality and empathy are not things the Paleostinians have been programed to comprehend.
