Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog

Okay, I am very late to the party, but I bought the DVD and finally caught up. My estimation of Joss Whedon has gone even higher than I thought it could ever go.

Must. Buy. Soundtrack.

And Blu-Ray.

I read recently that a sequel is planned.

I cannot stop singing the tunes in my head.

If you like Joss Whedon, and you like musicals, well, what are you waiting for? I just told you how great Dr. Horrible is!

Be sure to catch BOTH commentary tracks — especially “Commentary: The Musical!”

And that SO cemented my crush on Felicia Day… man, can she play neurotic beautifully.

    (a.k.a. “The Hammer”)

    Oh my.

It is hard to believe but yesterday someone mentioned this
to me after we chatted about Nathan Filion speaking Chinese
in the last episode of Castle.

There could be worse laws than making Firefly viewing part
    of our national educational curriculum.

Coolest moment: Dr. Horrible’s hand move during “Brand New Day.” You know the one — fingers out, then curled up one at a time. I can NOT get my hands to do that.

Oh, and the “the hammer” line.

And the “if you’re not a friggin’ ‘tard, you will prevail!” line.

And the “shiny new Australia” line.

And… oh, screw it. It’s FILLED with amazing awesomeness.

And it’s inspired other awesomeness, such as this:

  4. Anon, I think that’s an excellent idea, and it will become law when I am made Dictator of the World. (Also banning Cats from ever, ever being produced anywhere, anytime, ever again.)

  5. Jay, one of the things I liked best about the show was the absolutely unbelievable talent of Neil Patrick Harris. I mean, I knew he was good, but there were SO many moments. Like the line “Or he’ll make you his mare” where Neil does a subtle double-take on hearing that phrase. And every interaction with Felicia Day. He’s just so damned GOOD.
