This is the only post you’re getting today, I think. I’m heading over to my friend Sarah‘s to experience life at full volume (click or just mouseover the link). I’ve got the requests already in the car: A movie, my lacrosse stick, and four cans of soda for the kids so Larry doesn’t have to go out for last-minute grocery shopping. (I have their favorite flavors on hand because they’re over here so much.) I’ll call my family later today, but in the meantime, things I’m thankful for, in no particular order:
- Good health
- Good friends
- Good cats
- Good job
- A home that does not have an underwater mortgage
- An attached garage (so wonderful on a rainy day)
- My Lasik surgery was successful
And last, but not least, another year blogging. Hey, if I’m blogging, I’m still here, and that’s a big thing to be thankful for.
It’s been a long, tough road to here, and I am very grateful for where I’ve gotten.
Have a wonderful day at Sarah’s and I agree on the thankful fors
I’ve been considering Lasik surgery, but a recent spell of high winds gave me doubts. Glasses I’ve had since, sheesh, age 8 or so .. so if I all-of-a-sudden *stopped*, I’m thinking that the experience of wind – or even a mere breeze – would be a potentially irritating pressure on the eye. Was this a factor with you?
Nope. Once your eyes have healed, they’ve healed. Glasses didn’t stop me from getting a scratched cornea years ago when a wind kicked up in Manhattan and drove a piece of plastic in my eye that I didn’t see, or feel, except in a really smoky room.
Anyway, you can wear sunglasses outside if you’re that worried about the wind, but I’m REALLY enjoying walking in the rain without an umbrella right now.
My daily dose of Yourish is just one of the things I’m thankful for. Hope you had a great T-day!
That is wonderful that your Lasik surgery was a sucess. Hopefully the only glasses you will have to wear will be sunglasses! Yes you have much to be thankful for and so do we since you are still here and blogging.
good information. thanks!
