In the fever swamps of the anti-Israel mind, there is an Eleventh Commandment. Thou shalt not support Israel.
Thou shalt not support Israel, part one: An Orthodox Arab priest was fired for saying he thinks Arab Israelis should serve in the IDF. So let me get this straight: Israel gets slammed for saying it’s the nation-state of the Jewish people because it also has Arabs and other citizens, but if someone suggests they serve in the IDF–like Jewish Israelis–they are shouted down.
Thou shalt not support Israel, part two: Mick Jagger has just made up for “Under my Thumb” in my book. His response to calls for the Rolling Stones to boycott Israel?
“We’ve been slammed and smacked and twittered a lot by the anti-Israeli side; all I can say is: anything worth doing is worth overdoing. So we decided to add a concert.”
Thou shalt not support Israel, part three: A Presbyterian pastor (PC-USA, the Israel-hating side of the PC church) was forced to resign his position on the Committee on Middle East Issues because he traveled to Israel on trips paid for by the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond, VA. That wasn’t okay. The two trips before on the dime of pro-Palestinian NGOs? Those were fine.
