This week’s podcast is up

The latest Shire Network News podcast, featuring yours truly, is up.

This week, I share with you some of the hatemail and hateful comments that you never see, due to my habit of deleting them.

I haven’t listened to the rest, but Lair shared his script with us. It’s pretty powerful. And the rest of the crew is always good.

Go. Listen. You’ll like it.

Huh. You do get a LOT of these bastards. Don’t worry; the “Nazi” comparisons have nothing to do with you being Israeli. I am not (just Jewish) and I get the same insults all the time. More polite people simply compare me to Holocaust deniers.

I wonder, do they compare blacks to slave traders?

  2. A Steve says:

You know, a torrent of such comments would probably make most people go quite mad. How have you survived this for 5 years?

(I asked a professor of mine that question once, about how he was able to keep his cool while going after rapists in the court room. At the time, he just said he had to try hard, but he admitted a few years later that he was an alcoholic. I can’t blame him, but I hope you don’t go down that road.)

  3. Shlemazl, I’m not Israeli. I’m American.

Steve, here’s the secret: Just know that they’re all incredibly pathetic losers, probably with very tiny dicks, and the rants just roll right off your back.

Please. They’re pikers. You are reading the weblog of a woman who once outswore a truck driver at a traffic light.

    I’m a scrapper, Steve.

Plus, frankly, after the first few words, they’re all predictable. I don’t bother reading the trash except when I want to make a post out of it.

  4. cond0010 says:

I always wondered what they sounded like.

It is fitting that they sound like a pack of Chipmunks. :)

  5. Paul says:

If you receive hate mail or epithets then you must be touching a nerve with some ignorant nitcompoops so keep on speaking the truth. By the way, I like your blog !

  6. I always post my script. My SNN piece is usually a rehash of an IMAO or IFOC piece.

  7. A Steve says:

Heh, I forgot about the truck driver incident. That coping mechanism sounds good. Unlike alcohol, it involves _increasing_ the accuracy of your worldview.

You know, that they’re all the same is actually quite interesting. I mean, you’re getting these from anti-semites around the world, yet they’re playing from the same book. My guess is that you could use the collection of hate mail you get to draw some very interesting statistical conclusions about the vocabulary of anti-semitism, and perhaps even create an anti-semitic e-mail generator a la Andrew Bulhak’s post-modern essay generator.
