Twinsday, revived

Ah, Twinsdays. Back before I was fully gainfully employed, every Thursday, Sarah and I would get together and go to the Farmer’s Market or some other market, have lunch, spend a few hours, and she had the twins along until … Continue reading

The I’m super-busy open thread

Work, NJ, NJ, work. I’ll be back to normal tonight or tomorrow. In the meantime, feel free to talk amongst yourselves, or leave elephant jokes in the comments.

Home. Tired. Posting.

And this is all you get. The last few days were exhausting, but hey, I got to see my nephew graduate from recruit to United States Marine. Now he wants to take me shooting.

A moment of silence for a lapsed laptop

Well, my video is going on the HP ZD8000, and after some research, I’ve concluded that it probably is not going to be fixed unless I’m willing to buy a new motherboard for a six-year-old laptop, at a cost of … Continue reading

On the menu

Years ago, I had a friend who, after years of living with roommates, got an apartment on her own. For the first time in her life, she was the only one living in her apartment. We ate dinner together several … Continue reading

My life, my blog

I just paid off the last of my credit card debt accrued from years of under- and unemployment (not profligate spending). I am now officially debt-free, except for my mortgage. I am solidly in the black for the first time … Continue reading
